Youth Kung Fu Program

NMAFC provides free kung fu classes coupled with a monthly educational class to support and preserve Asian culture while building on protective factors to decrease risky behaviors later in life, such as tobacco use.  Although classes will be open to all 4th grade, 5th grade, and middle school aged youth in Albuquerque, this program aims to promote culturally relevant after-school activities for Asian youth.  Students will learn a Southern Chinese Gong Fu style, improve their physical and mental well-being, and learn and share Asian culture.  Classes will be held at Bilingual Multicultural Services Inc. located at 4821 Central NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.  Youth participants will need to wear work-out clothes and bring a water bottle.

Classes are held every Monday and Wednesday from 6:45-8:15pm.

Classes will be capped at 10 students and require an RSVP for enrollment, so please act soon!  Spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.   To RSVP or for additional information, please call  505.717.2877.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the Asian community, so if you know of any Asian youth or parents with Asian youth in elementary school or middle school who might be interested, please pass this information on to them.
