STAND: Sexual Violence Survivors Project by Nobuko Oyabu

Guest Speaker: Nobuko Oyabu, an internationally-recognized speaker and photojournalist

Date/Time: Wed. May 1, 2013 at 6:00pm-7:30pm
Where: North Domingo Baca Multigenerational Center

What: It is a cruel fact of life in New Mexico: one in 4 women and 1 in 20 men will experience rape or attempted rape in their lifetimes.* Nobuko Oyabu, an internationally-recognized speaker and photojournalist, is coming to Albuquerque to present her story as a survivor of rape, and give a portrayal of the many “voices” of other rape survivors whom she has interviewed and photographed over the years.

Free local services for sexual crime survivors will be introduced at the end of the lecture.
